You are Invited

For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.  Matthew 12:37
Today you are invited to consider how you speak to others and what you say.  What tone of voice do you use to different people?  What sort of words do you use?  Do they build people up or bring them down?  Are they full of love or do they make people feel awkward?  How do you sound?  When did you last listen to the way you speak to people?  What do you think may need to change to help others realise that you are a Christ-follower?  What spontaneous conversations have you had recently that you regret because of what you said or the way you said it?  Or perhaps you did not say something which you now feel should have been said.  How can God help you to be aware of how you speak and what you say?  Spend some time with Him today talking these things through.  Remember that conversation is a two way event – listen for His response.
God bless you as you speak words of peace, even if the conversation is difficult, today

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I do live in the city but make the most of the green spaces that surround me.

  1. Hi Mandy,
So pleased to see someone who loves the Lord as I do (a lot) AND who lives in this beautiful country. Will definitely be following you and drinking from the fountain of encouragement that you share so freely.
    Blessings from Vereeniging!
