You are Invited

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, … how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and you were not willing.  Matthew 23:37

Today you are invited to consider your home town.  What needs does it have?  Where is it bleeding?  What areas are unsafe?  What businesses does it house that lead people astray?  Where are the schools, hospitals, local government buildings, police stations?  Today have a look at a map of your home town and spend some time praying for the areas that need prayer. (Invite others to join you so you can pray in agreement together).  Ask God to bless the place where you live in whatever way He wills.  Ask Him to protect those who are vulnerable; who may be misled or harmed because of the suburbs in which they live or the places they go to.  Ask Him to fill your town with the Holy Spirit that it may be healed and nurtured and people may turn to Christ in their numbers.  Give your town to God and watch for His response to your prayers.

May God bless you as you pray for your home town; and may He bless your town in ways you are not even imagining!
